Gold Coast Pet & Animal Expo 2010

~  Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th September, 2010   ~

Friends of the Hound will again have a promotional stand on Central Park Oval, the same as in previous years.  It is an excellent opportunity to promote Greyhounds as pets and showcase our greyhound welfare efforts to the hordes of pet owners and animal lovers that attend this huge 2-day expo.

We invite all adoptees, hound-lovers, foster carers & members to come along & help out - if you can spare a few hours - come & show off your hound & help raise awareness for these beautiful dogs. It is an enjoyable outing for people & pets alike, with lots of interesting exhibitions, entertainment & activities, with a range of refreshments.

The theme for our stand this year is "Greyhounds are model pets"

Noosa Country Show 2010

~  Friday 10th to Saturday 11th September, 2010   ~

8am to 4pm

Pomona Showgrounds, Cnr Exhibition & Pavilion St's, Pomona

Friends of the Hound will be participating in this year’s Noosa Country Show with a stand to promote greyhounds as pets.  Country shows are always nice, laid back events where you can have a chat with the locals and showcase your greyhounds at the same time.

  Friends of the Hound Walk 

Friends of the Hound are holding monthly gatherings/walks around greater Brisbane,

Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Northern New South Wales for greyhound owners and dog lovers alike.

If you own a greyhound, or any breed of dog and would like to take a walk with a group of people who all love dogs, then come along and join us for a fun morning and the opportunity to meet people and make new friends.

Noosa Woods Park

West End of Hastings Street

Near Claude Batten Drive, Noosa (Sunshine Coast)

Walk will begin at 10am

(Don’t forget your slip, slop and slap – especially for the white dogs)

We will also be running a fundraiser sausage sizzle after the walk, so why not enjoy an old fashioned aussie snag with us and help the greyhounds at the same time.

The Brisbane South Walk held at Seventeen Mile Rocks on Sunday 22nd August was a big success and enjoyed by all who attended.
