Gracie’s best life starts now

Gracie The Greyhound

Do you remember the story of this older girl?

She came to FOTH in early August 2024.

She had just turned 8 but looked like a much older dog. She had untreated pannus and horrific dental disease.

She had not been desexed and had awful, long nails.

She had been in the ‘care’ of a racing participant and his wife.
She was surrendered to FOTH after the family decided not to keep her.

Poor Gracie had lived a life of neglect.

Once she was with FOTH she underwent urgent veterinary care including all of her teeth being removed due to dental disease.

Gracie was incredibly brave throughout all of the treatment and surgery.

The good news is she has been given a second chance.

She was adopted just a couple of weeks ago to live the life she deserves with her new Mum.

We hear she has settled in beautifully and has become besties with Bertie the rooster and a family of 3 ducks.

She loves doing zoomies around the house and jumping in the duck pond.

She’s smoochy and very affectionate… and obviously so very forgiving.

Thank you to Susie for loving Gracie and giving her the home and life she deserves.

Enjoy your new life darling girl!
