Max’s Medical Journey

Max the Greyhound

Young Max was recently surrendered by his owner, who wished he’d known more about the dog racing industry before investing in a greyhound. He will not be continuing any involvement.

Poor Max had shattered his knee racing.

His trainer arranged the surgical repair and after-care. However, when surrendered to FOTH the necessary follow-up revealed Max was suffering from complications from this significant injury and we had to arrange specialist orthopaedic surgery to stabilise his leg with cruciate ligament repair.

The surgery went well and Max will be pain-free, happy and ready soon to start his new life as a fun-loving family companion.

The veterinary costs have been substantial (almost $9000) and we appreciate any support and assistance you can offer.

One look at this gorgeous boy confirms he’s worth every cent.
